I got up early today because my work was waving at me. Well, honestly, it has been waving at me for about two days now because I was just too dizzy to function. I had my first vestibular therapy session yesterday, which is basically an attempt to fix this dizziness so my husband will finally give me his permission to drive soon. Haha.

Today also marked my third month of going to counseling. When I first decided to see a counselor, it was really just because I was experiencing so much anxiety around my husband’s surgery. But as the weeks went by, I started unpacking a lot of other things, like all the baggage from the past that I have been carrying around forever.

At first, I had a really hard time talking about my past. I mean, who wouldn’t? It is so hard sitting in front of a stranger and telling them your deepest secrets and most vulnerable feelings. This week, though, I really started unpacking everything. Holding back tears was definitely not easy. I have been doing this for one hour once a week for the last three months, and honestly, I am not even sure when counseling is supposed to stop because it feels like I haven’t even unpacked one percent of the baggage I am carrying.

On a completely different note, after my appointment we headed over to PetSmart to get food for our cats, and I grabbed another hedgehog toy. I bought one before, and all of them loved it, so I had to get a second one so nobody gets jealous. Cupcake has been hogging the hedgehog at all times, and Mochi is just way too big for Tofu to fight, even though Tofu is actually older than Mochi. Tofu is such a tiny little cat.

Before heading home, we stopped to get a late lunch or early dinner. As usual, I had fried chicken and waffles. The chicken was a little salty this time, though now that I think about it, maybe it was only salty because we have been on a low-sodium diet lately.

Strawberry butter is really good.

When we got home, I had to give Cupcake a bath because she smelled like urine again. Poor girl cried so much. I actually thought she was going to scratch me, but she was just holding onto my arm like all of her fur depended on it. Moments like that make me even more sure that she would never survive in the wild. She better love me forever and get used to bath time, because I am definitely keeping the doors shut.

I am also happy to announce that my husband finished a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle completely on his own in less than a week! I am so proud of him. And thank God I went around picking up all the puzzle pieces Mochi knocked off the table and played with like a football all over the house, or else we would have been in big trouble.

I also opened two of my unopened packages today. I think I still have about six or seven more sitting there that I need to get to.

I really did not have plans on posting anything tonight, but I had my laptop open and thought I would just type away about what happened today.

How was your day?

Love, Rosie
